Cover the number, then shrink the screenshot

A screenshot has a phone number and is over the size cap. Mosaic first, then compress, on the workspace.

The form still wants the screenshot. The phone number is in the corner, and the file is over the size cap. Those are two jobs. Image711 is a workshop: name the roadblock, then keep the next step on the workspace.

Name both roadblocks

A number that should not ship, and a file the form will reject, are not the same button. Painting over the number does not shrink the file. Shrinking the file does not hide the number. If you only need one of those, stay on that tool page. Open the workspace when the same screenshot has to survive both.

What stays on one page

  1. Mosaic the number, the face, or the plate. The brush is one image, painted by hand, because the spot is different on every shot. Do not drop a folder here.
  2. If the form then rejects the weight, compress that same export. Change the heavy file. Do not blur the picture until the text around the number is gone too.
  3. GPS and the camera model are a different page. Mosaic does not strip them. If the location should not travel with the ticket, use the metadata tool after you are sure the number is covered. The redact guide is the brush. The size guide is the cap.

Nothing is uploaded

Reading, the mosaic, and the smaller file stay in this browser. There is no Image711 server waiting for the screenshot. Keep the image at or under 20MB. A support chat, a bank screen, and a home address are the sort of picture you do not want in someone else’s queue.

A phone file that is still HEIC should be converted before the brush. Rounding the corners, or adding an arrow, is another page. Do that only if the ticket asked for it.

Cover the number before you shrink

Download after the number is covered. The original stays on the device. If the portal still rejects the file, change the weight of the redacted export. Do not send the sharp original because the compressed one was easier.

FAQ

Does mosaic shrink the file?

No. Covering the number and meeting a size cap are two steps. Compress the redacted export.

Can I mosaic a whole folder?

No. The brush is one image, because the sensitive spot is different on every shot.

Does mosaic remove GPS?

No. Location and camera data are a separate tool. Use it after the number is covered.
