White background

Platform bounced a see-through PNG. Cut out locally and fill white?

The listing or the signup form asked for a white background. You sent a PNG with a checkerboard, or the hair still carried the bedroom wall. They bounced it. This page is the decision: should you cut the subject out locally, and how do you fill white so the portal does not see a hole.

They sent the listing back with a hole in it

Ecommerce wants a white backdrop. A signup form wants a white ID shot. You exported a PNG that still shows the checkerboard, or the hair fringe still holds the bedroom wall — drop it on white and the halo turns pink or red. The portal is not asking for a transparent file. It is asking for a person or a product sitting on white.

Decide before the next upload: if the form wants white, cut the subject out and fill white in the same tool. Do not download a hole and hope the site paints it later.

Should you cut it out locally?

Same photo, different send, different answer. Walk the list once — do not guess from the preview.

  • A marketplace or a form that says “white background”: cut out, then fill white in the tool. A transparent PNG looks clean on your screen and fails their backend.
  • Hair, fur, or a mesh bag still glued to the room: a quick phone crop leaves a dirty edge. Local cutout plus a white swatch is the fix — refine the mask if the fringe still carries wallpaper.
  • You already have a clean studio shot on white: skip cutout. Compress or crop instead if size or frame is the only problem.
  • The file is still HEIC: convert first — the HEIC to JPG guide — then come back. This tool reads JPG / PNG / WebP.
  • The portal also caps KB: fill white first, then hit a target size — the target KB guide.

Image711 cuts the subject and fills white in your browser. Listing and signup photos stay on the device. Batch means many files in, many independent results out. Keep each file ≤ 20MB.

Fill white in the tool — a hole is not a white background

Transparent PNG is a hole. Many ecommerce and government backends flatten that hole onto grey, black, or a checker they cannot read — then they reject the file. Image711's Remove BG / Background has a white swatch. Tap it before you download. The fill happens here, not in another app after, and not by hoping the portal paints white.

A red or pink fringe usually means leftover room color on the hair. Zoom the preview. If the edge is dirty, use Edit mask, then fill white again. Do not export the transparent copy “to be safe.”

Cut, fill white, download locally

Open Image711's Remove BG / Background. Detection and the white fill stay in the browser. Nothing is uploaded.

  1. Drop JPG / PNG / WebP: one file or a set. Batch is allowed — many photos in, many independent results out. Keep each file ≤ 20MB. HEIC that will not parse: convert first, then return.
  2. Check the fringe before you fill: hair, straps, and bottle labels. If wallpaper still sticks, refine the mask. Do not download yet.
  3. Pick the white swatch in the tool, then download: the fill is part of this step. You get a white-backed copy; the local original is not overwritten.

After the backdrop is white

An ID crop is a different job — the ID crop guide. Packing scans into one PDF is another — the images to PDF guide. If the same shot needs a mark before you publish, use the watermark guide after the white fill. Do the backdrop first when the portal bounced a hole or a dirty fringe.

The short version

They bounced a see-through PNG or hair still glued to the wall. Cut the subject out locally, fill white in the same tool — do not export a hole. Batch is many independent results. Each file ≤ 20MB. HEIC first. Stay local — nothing is uploaded.

About cutting out and filling white

Can I download a transparent PNG and let the platform paint white?

Usually no. A transparent file is a hole. Many ecommerce and signup backends flatten that hole onto grey, black, or a checker they cannot read — then they reject it. Pick the white swatch in Image711 before you download. The fill belongs in the tool, not in a later hope.

If I drop a whole set, do I get one merged image?

No. Batch means many photos in, many independent results out. Each file is cut and filled on its own. Keep each original at or under 20MB. HEIC is not parsed here — convert it first, then come back.

The hair fringe turned red or pink on white. Is the cutout broken?

The subject is out, but leftover room color is still on the edge. Zoom the preview, refine the mask on hair and straps, then tap white again. Do not export the transparent copy to “fix it later.”

Are the originals uploaded to a server?

No. Detection, the mask, and the white fill happen in your browser. Listing and signup shots stay on the device. Nothing is sent to an upload backend for processing.
